Questionnaire That Will Gauge Audience Response: Poster

This is a questionnaire that my partner and I made for an audience to fill out, to see how successful our poster was after we had made it. Below is the link to the website in which we made it on and where it can be filled out: http://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/8ULAO/

Questionnaire Regarding Audience: Poster

This is a questionnaire my partner and I made for an audience to fill in before we had made our poster, in order to get an idea of what sort of conventions they are expecting to see on a film poster. Below is the link to the website we made it on and where it can be filled out: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/02BHF/

Playing With Effects On Photoshop

My partner and I took a potential poster / website picture and decided it would be useful to try it out in different effects using photoshop to see what would look the most successful. Here are some of the outcomes:

Things I Want On My Poster

Reviews For My Poster/Trailer

Films from the horror genre often rely on reviews to help sell the film to audiences, partly because unlike big budget hollywood films they often don't feature recognisable A-list actors. Often reviews for horror films will contain words or phrases that can instantly be related to the genre. Below are some reviews from appropriate magazines and websites that would work for a horror film like Dollhouse: " truly terrifying... The scariest movie of the year " - Fangoria  " ...Dark and twisted " - Empire  " ...Dollhouse will haunt audiences for years to come " - Screamhorrormag.com

Potential Tag lines

After having looked at many different tag lines found on horror film posters, and analysed the similarities between them, I then came up with some of my own. 1. " He'll turn your life around " 2. " Enter the Dollhouse. But be sure   y ou know what your walking into " 3. " He wasn't who they thought he was " 4. " If you agree to play .  He'll bring out the doll in YOU " 5. " They chose the wrong man for help " 6. " They got stitched up " 7. " Come and play in the dollhouse " 8. " He'll invite you into play, but he'll never let you leave " We decided to choose the tagline " He'll invite you into play, but he'll never let you leave ", we used personal pronouns such as 'you' in order to overwhelm and make the audience feel tension.
