The Name of the Film


Before my partner and I had tried to think of a name for our film, we both did our own research into previous films that have been made with a similar storyline. As our theme of the film is to do with 'dolls' I looked up horror films which have dolls in to get inspiration.




After I had done my research into these particular types of films, my partner and I came up with some rough ideas for names such as:

1. The Human Dolls

2. Doll House

3. Dollies

4. Stitch

5. Stuffing

6. Buttons

As most of the films, have a one worded title or no more than 3 words at the most, I also wanted to keep it short. Some of the ideas I came up with such as "stitch", "stuffing" and "buttons" were because these are the main materials that are used to make dolls.

Insidious 2 Poster Analysis

--> The main image of the poster is of 3 of the main protagonists. --> The protagonists are seen through the use of a medium shot, to make the audience feel closer with the characters. --> Dull/dark use of colours. --> Low level lighting. --> Some use of red to perhaps represent blood or violence within the film. --> Dark background to allow focus on the image and the writing on the poster. --> Name of the film (san serif, biggest wiring, most bold, indication of genre) located on the side of the poster. --> Credits in small writing located at the very top. --> Release date. --> Website name. --> Tagline - gives away some of the storyline.
