Possible Poster / Website Pictures

This picture would be suitable for my poster / website, due to the use of the close up used allowing more detail to be seen. The lighting within this photo is coming from underneath, therefore allowing shadows to be created above the windows and door making the house look sinister. Therefore, the picture overall can come across as overwhelming and engaging towards the viewer.

This image is also a close up, of several unsettling looking dolls which were used as props within my trailer. The lighting helps to make the dolls look even more creepy with the shadows behind them. However, the colour palette doesn't include just a lot of dark colours and so doesn't look sinister enough.

This photo is of a medium close up of one of the actresses who features within my trailer. My partner and I decided to do her doll makeup on only half of her face to resemble her character within the narrative. Overall, the picture is visually effective although there could be better lighting in order to make the picture look even more unsettling.

This is a medium close up of the doll house which features in my trailer. The colour palette is effective as it includes only de-satruated colours and has a black background. The lighting adds to the haunting effect of the picture and would definitely engage the viewer's attention.

Insidious 2 Poster Analysis

--> The main image of the poster is of 3 of the main protagonists. --> The protagonists are seen through the use of a medium shot, to make the audience feel closer with the characters. --> Dull/dark use of colours. --> Low level lighting. --> Some use of red to perhaps represent blood or violence within the film. --> Dark background to allow focus on the image and the writing on the poster. --> Name of the film (san serif, biggest wiring, most bold, indication of genre) located on the side of the poster. --> Credits in small writing located at the very top. --> Release date. --> Website name. --> Tagline - gives away some of the storyline.
