Questionnaire That Will Gauge Audience Response: Website

This is the questionnaire my partner and I made for an audience to fill out after we had finished making our final website. This was so we could find out what audiences thought looked good and what may of not looked aesthetically pleasing to them. Below is the link to the website we made it on and where it can be filled out: http://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/HIRYY/

Questionnaire Regarding Audience: Website

Here is the questionnaire my partner and I made, in order for an audience to fill out before finalising our film's website to allow it to be as successful as possible. Below is the link to the website we used to make it on and where it can be filled out: http://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/HW4DR/

Titles In My Trailers

Below are the animated titles that appear in our trailers, which we created using After Effects:

Possible Poster / Website Pictures

This picture would be suitable for my poster / website, due to the use of the close up used allowing more detail to be seen. The lighting within this photo is coming from underneath, therefore allowing shadows to be created above the windows and door making the house look sinister. Therefore, the picture overall can come across as overwhelming and engaging towards the viewer.  This image is also a close up, of several unsettling looking dolls which were used as props within my trailer. The lighting helps to make the dolls look even more creepy with the shadows behind them. However, the colour palette doesn't include just a lot of dark colours and so doesn't look sinister enough. This photo is of a medium close up of one of the actresses who features within my trailer. My partner and I decided to do her doll makeup on only half of her face to resemble her character within the narrative. Overall, the picture is visually effective although ...

Lighting Tests

I screen shotted these pictures from practise videos my partner and I made in order to test the lighting we wanted to use within our trailer. From experimenting with light, we found that it looked best for the lights to be off with no tier natural lighting around so that we can use a side light where we wish to create shadows on different parts of the house.

Tools Used To Create Website

In order for my partner and I to create our website we used a variety of different tools on Wix. The main tool used was the text box tool, as it is where we added all the text for our website, such as: name of the film, reviews, synopsis, release date etc. The text box tool allowed us to change the font to Baskerville, so it was the same as on our poster and in our trailers. We also used a tool which allowed us to add video, which is where we posted both of our trailers.

Rough Potential Home Pages

Potential Home Pages (Layout)

Horror Films Website Analysis

Annabelle Comes Home: The homepage of this website consists of mainly low saturated and very few colours. The serif font in which the title of the film is written in, allows this to stand out and perhaps give away a bit of the narrative. The small bits of red used within the website may connote a sense of blood or danger reinforcing the genre of the film. The other pages also consist of mainly just black and white colours. The First Purge: The websites aesthetics consist of mainly black and white colours, as well as some red within the title of the film and titles on other pages to connote danger or blood. The main image within the homepage is of short clips from the film (the most unsettling ones) playing on a loop. US: This website includes mainly black and white colours, with the main trailer of the film on the homepage. The woman shown in the first photo above, can be seen through the use of a medium close up so that the viewer can easily see her facial expression where in this p...
